    Question about insulation

Maintenance recently replaced the insulation in my unit since the old stuff was gross and falling apart.

Does this look like the correct insulation to you guys? Looks like regular wall insulation. The old insulation was a dark gray and more coarse. Just want to make sure they didn't mess up.
Is there a "type" I can ask them and make sure?

    Looks fine.
In reality you don’t need insulation in the return

Ok thanks. Seems like it has a metallic/reflective backing on it. Just want to make sure the intake isn't pulling in some weird insulation particles or something

That type is called lung cancer.

It should look like one of these

But as was already mentioned, a return within the conditioned space really doesn’t need to be insulated.

The pics above are what was originally there, so I'm assuming that's what it should be. Ugh. I hate these people so much

Just had them completely remove the insulation.
So that's ok to just leave those areas bare metal? Won't cause sweating or anything?
    Thanks

Ok. so they replaced it. Here's what it looks like now. Does this look correct/safe? Thanks so much for the help.

Basically I just want to make sure that the system isn't sucking in anything bad.

Is it safer for me to just take it all out?

EZ Flow type flow device can hardly be referred to as A True filter.

The first 6 pges do not even mention a MERV # rating.
