In auto the beep should quickly settle down to a slow beep. If not call ttt, that's not right.

Pump speeds up in medium and large leak settings, this is normal

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

Those are good leak detectors. Just Fine tune adjustments. Interesting Story.. Many years ago i had one not working properly. I was in Peachtree City G.A. and just so happens they had a factory repair center there. I rolled in dirty, hot and sweaty. Very nicely dressed lady asked if she could help me. Told her what was going on, she took me in the warehouse. There was a room with a couple guys there and that's all they did, repair leak detectors. Leak detectors were stacked everywhere. we sat down at a table he fixed my detector and sent me on my way. Didn't charge me a dime. We still have a couple of those detectors in use today. The new h10 is even better than the old ones.

    yes its a beast
i had a system 'loosing" refrigerant, very small leak, tried with infrared leak detector, couldn't find anything, then i tried with another heated diode, nothing again.
yesterday tried the H10 PRO, found a small leak in condenser coil, tried with other leak detector, but nothing, only the H10 was able to pick up the leak, in all fairness was not "screaming' just a little speed up in the beeping, but it catch the leak :-)

Just a confirm that my new H10 is working great
yesterday i was checking a Package system with 30 lbs of standing pressure
i tried with leak detector first, because i don't want to carry with me refrigerant or nitrogen, it was on a roof.
the H10 picked up the leak easily, well was kinda big leak, but almost no pressure at all.
coming from infrared, this is a nice step up. i guess, my personal opinion, infrared get less sensitive with the years.
mine was giving me a lot of false alarm . Glad i switched to H10

don't just randomly turn the heater adjustment dial.

you should have received the test bottle, and the manual with that detector. follow the adjustment procedure in the book. I wouldn't expect a new H10 to have the heater set a the 10 o'clock position. if the heater is turned up too high, you will get less life out of it.

My H-10G finally died. Went out and picked up a H-10 Pro a few weeks back. Had a co-worker give me a shout a week or so ago, he couldn't find a leak. I happened to be just down the road. Took a few minutes, but did find the leak and verified with bubbles.

He tried his detector on my test bottle, and not a peep was heard.
