That doesn't look like a normal Cleanjet+Care screen.
How does the back of the control board look? Any signs of corrosion or bridged connections around the IC chips?
You might need to take it out to get a good look from all angles.
Hi guys im a rational certified tech here in hawaii. This unit has me stumped as well as multiple rational service techs. Customer called me saying unit won't go in cook mode. Came out to location and turned unit on and unit control board turns on. Top window reads the Time, second window reads the CleanJet+Care , 3rd window is temp icon, 4th window is a wash icon with 24:00 and off to the right a cool down icon(seephotobelow). No matter what i do i can never get this unit off this screen and cooking. Steps i have done
Removed power, removed battery and cables and let sit for 5 min and reconnected, only thing changes is the time resets to 12:00
Ive also put the unit in a rinse without tabs mode and successfully cleaned unit
Fig this thing needs to go into a deeper clean mode since that didn't help so i ran it in a light wash while i did other work near by on another rational unit.....same thing goes back to this menu.

Next i flipped the 1dipswitch and i can select the tool icon which stumped me as it only had 2 windows the top window Diagnostic mode and the lower window with function test. I ran thru a entire function test and everything works fine.
Lastly called into Rational and go a reset file sent to me, i installed reset on my 2.0 Blank usb and went back to unit. Did the correct steps---- turn unit off, unplug eprom, plug usb in and turn unit on. Normally a update update update update will show up on 4 windows however nothing happens it just goes back to the same menu screen stated.
I have another 202G unit next to this but im afraid to take the pcb and swap it fearing i might affect the other unit as well...
any help is greatly appreciated. i really don't want to resort in installing a new board
also tried hitting prog, and entering password which does not work as well

Yes I’ve never seen this screen before and even the techs at rational and other local tech, there’s def no signs of water damage
Well, I'm no computer geek, but I'm thinking you can't corrupt an EPROM by installing am iffy control board to it. The board is the RAM. Any updates you do with the stick only gets saved on the board. When you replace an updated (but failed) board with a brand new one out of the box, you gotta update IT.
So, if you take the questionably convoluted board and put it into that other oven for testing purposes, the EPROM can't change, so I think you'd be fine.
However, I understand your concerns over messing up their other oven, so I suggest running it past Rational tech support before swapping boards.
I think I’m going to give it a shot by swapping the board this week, hopefully that can tell me what’s going on.
By the way - ALOHA!
My fondest lifetime memories were made from living on Oahu. Late eighties to early nineties.
I was lucky to live there when their music was at its best. Willie K. Iz. Makaha Son of Ni'ihau...and many others.
those are still awesome hits, you were living there when i was born lol.... you want to move to maui i got job for you lemme know
LOL! I'd love to...but I won't.
Although...I'd actually dreamed of doing that some fifteen years ago when my former company had a branch on Oahu.
Nope. My recently-purchased little house nestled here in the woods of middle Tennessee will be where I retire in a few years.
Although...I might be caught listening to Hawaiian music.
Therefore my only connection to the islands will be through memories, photos, the music I've collected from that time...and my ability to not ONLY pronounce the name of the Hawaiian state fish (Humuhumunukunukuapua'a), but also Israel's last name.
I should probably share his music for those who don't know who I'm talking about. THIS was his ONE internationally known hit:
By the way...
- Iz never sang that before an audience. What you're hearing is from a one-take recording performed in the wee hours of a morning (upon his peculiarly-timed request) at a studio.
- The inclusion of this recording on an album was actually an afterthought of Israel's producer - who practically said "OH! WAIT! Put THIS on there TOO!" - as they were composing Iz's "Facing Future" album.
- So, Iz never performed this in a concert like the video might suggest. For a visual, this video is merely an montage of pics/vids of him. The scenes with people cheering while in the water were during his funeral and involved the scattering of his ashes into the ocean.
- Additionally, this hauntingly beautiful and enchanting recording never became renowned until many years after Iz had passed away.
Here's an article that NPR did about him. There's audio:

BACK ON TOPIC...somewhat:
I spent most of today working on an early model SCC101. A 2005 version E. Hardwired on a short leash for 480v. It required a new motor, water volume sensor, a bus cable and pulse generator.
So WHAT'S the big deal about THAT?
Because, while installed upon an immobile platform, the oven's left side is mere inches from it's neighboring and ALSO immobile SCC101.I'm so special...
NO ACCESS FOR REPAIRS. Yet, I did ALL repairs with it still hooked to utilities so I could test it while I still had it pulled out for access...for anything ELSE I might have found needing attention (which happened).
What I'm getting at is that I don't know how you field techs could've come in here to fix things on an oven installed like this one is. In my fourteen years in the field, I'd never encountered such a thing.
However, with my being an in-house tech nowadays, I'm fortunate to have an unusual array of resources available that won't fit into a service van. Like a behemoth version of THIS:

So I completed this repair (an all-dayer)...ALL BY MYSELF.
I just don't know how you guys do it nowadays!

A bad EPROM will sometimes cause the control board to do screwy things. Take the EPROM from another same model oven and see what happens. Make sure its the same model oven.
