You don't realize what the word average means

What are the Advantages of Small Class Sizes?
Small class sizes lead to more one-on-one attention from the teacher. Let's face it: teachers are overworked. ...
Students get to know each other better. ...
Teachers can tailor instruction more individually. ...
    There's less disruption. ...
There's more time for instruction. ...
    They're quieter.

As I said when you use averages especially in such a large state it doesn't mean there aren't overcrowded classrooms. Do you even understand that concept?

It was stated that California spent about half its revenues on education.
You thought it was 28 percent....after seeing the calculator and some figures..you stopped insisting it was 28 percent...so they already got a 22 percent raise in five short minutes.. Classrooms were found to not be overcrowded as well...but yet you still want more money .....and you ask if I am ashamed lol...If it makes you feel better... Then yes I am ashamed...I say we increase spending to 88 percent for K through 12 schools...get that classroom size down to 20.

You mentioned one room school houses before. They were the norm up to app 1910 or so. Was that when we were at our peak?

You can't even address your own post. I simply asked when you were talking about and you seem to be too ashamed to answer that simple question.

Convince me we need to spend less on education as you seem to want.

I showed how classrooms are overcrowded in parts of CA.

I asked you to start a new thread.

Does that mean you won't answer when we were at our peak?

    Peak is subjective.
You point out they need more money. I pointed out we were just fine when they shoved all the kids in one classroom having several grades together.I pointed out that colleges often have huge classes. I pointed out the teacher is saying the same thing to the students regardless of how many is in the class. They still use the same book..They give the same lecture.
I showed documentation that the average classroom size was in the 20s.. pretty much what the rest of the nation has...There is no overcrowding emergency..never was.
Our peak would be before the we slipping down the chart with our IQ for instance..
We have slipped down to 28... We peaked along time ago obviously.

Note how we are number one in Noble peace Prize and not IQ.

Note how China and Singapore took the number one and two spots with IQ.

I would say discipline in school is what produces smart children...Not how much money a school can milk from it's govt.
