Water dripping from face of vertical coil (15 ton)

Just installed new 15 ton split system (TWE180) and water is dripping off coil especially when unit shuts down. Anyone have this problem before? Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks

Static pressure too high? Is the water beading on the coil, if so, there may be something oily on the fins that is reducing the surface tension of the condensation. Try spraying it with coil cleaner and try again.

Cleaning the coil with Mfgs rec product to get rid of mfg oil should clear this up.

We were starting up AirFlow units for MCI / WorldComm. The “V” Coils would drip onto the Fans. We found out you could take the small bottle of JetDry, mix it with three gallons of very warm tap water, in a Pump-up Sprayer. Soak the coil down, after 20 to 30 minutes, we would rinse the coil with three gallons of water. This put a very slight etch on the coil, so the water had something to cling to.
