    Mini Split system

I'm looking to have a mini split system installed. Need to say there are plenty to choose from. I do know my neighbor put in a no name Chinese brand heat pump about the same time I replaced my heat pump with a "name brand" heat pump. Mine is broke right now and his is running strong.....

I've been told that I shouldn't consider anyone but Mitsubishi. They have the patients. They have the best unit. It will last forever. Don't even consider the fact they are more than twice the cost of most other brands.

Is this really true or just hyperbole?

Those Chinese internet units, they run about as well as they cost.
The fact that yours broke and your neighbors is running may be purely coincidental.
Those units offer very poor support regarding parts, warranty and technical service support.
I can have Mitsubishi on the phone in half an hour with someone that knows every nut and bolt on the unit.
As far as brands I like Mitsu and Samsung.
Either way they are very proprietary and have to have trained techs work on them.

Thanks for your help. I tried to "like" your post but it wouldn't let me....

I can't do Samsung. If you knew the amount of things I've thrown away in my life that had Samsung on them..... you'd understand. Thanks again.

After trying a few we settled on Mitsubishi and became a Diamond Dealer which gives the homeowner a longer warranty. Tech support is great.
