I had 2 evap coils fail in 9 years, they just replaced it Friday and last night the unit was cooling. Shut the system down for 30 minutes. Turned it back on and called for cool. The outdoor fan was barely spinning then a huge, loud explosion happened, then a hissing sound of all the refrigerant.

Just asking on what are the chances of it failing so close to the coil repair or what could they have mistakenly done to make the compressor explode?

Any helpful information on what I can ask the company would be great.
