    Equipment markup percentage

What markup percentage do you guys charge for equipment? Split systems and package units specifically. I know all kinds of factors come into play. I don’t need to hear a bunch of unnecessary jargon. Just looking for something to compare to bc I got told multiple times that I was too cheap on residential package unit installation.

This would be a question both asked and answered in the pro section only.

If the customer didn't fall out of their chair I knew I hadn't put enough money in the job

In the Pro forums, we have a Business and Marketing forum. Its a good place for these types of discussions.

You should apply for Pro membership. Takes being a business owner and 30 post to apply for Access to the B&M forum.

But pricing discussions are allowed in most of the Pro only forums.

Well shit , you don't need a percentage from us ... you just answered your own question

Just throw another grand on whatever you've been quoting

If you see their eyebrows raise , just tell them "oh wait we have a coupon for 500 off"

Now either way its a win win from what you've been charging
