I have about 56 pounds in system getting ready to turn on I believe I’m still really low . When I turn the system on should I still try to charge some more liquid if it will even take it? Or should I slowly go all vapor?

If you have a suction port by the evaporator coils you can feed liquid there thru one of the cores while running . The suction accumulator will be a big help keeping liquid from getting to the compressors. By the time the liquid gets to the compressor it should be safe, if you only have a port at the compressor liquid is ok just slowly so you don’t rattle the compressors.

After awhile you will figure out what works best for you and your skill level. The farther away you dump liquid into the suction of a running system the smaller the chance of compressor damage. If the compressor starts to rattle stop feeding and wait till it settles down then don’t feed as much. It’s just a feeling that can’t be taught.
