    YJ p51 micrometer vs. bluvac

Recently did a side by side comparison of yj digital gauge vacuum accessory and th bluvac.

With the bluvac at 3000 the yj was reading over 5000 microns

At 1500, yj was about 1000 higher

At 1000 yj was about 200 higher

    At 750 about 150higher

And at 500 less than 100 higher.

All and all i think its a worthy tool for field use. Dont believe it would give you a false low reading.

How are you liking that digital manifold? I have one on order. Can you give me your likes and dislikes if you have any?

You can not beat Accu tools for service and dependability.

You could be correct that the accuracy of the reading is correct, but you have so(10 or so) many points of possible leaks and non-vacuum rated hoses with the YJ/manifold set up.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

I my opinion best on the market. Gauges are robust and the app is simple and easy to use.

I dont have any real complaints besides a little nit picking. If you liked the digicools you will love these.

The vacuum sensor is not located in the manifold display head. Its actually a remote sensor the plugs into the head.

If you look close at the pic I had them on a T less than an inch from each other.

I used a P51-870 for quite a while before moving to the SMAN380. For what it is, (no wireless etc), it is the best manifold in it's class. I got mine wet, dropped it a couple of times, yadda, yadda, yadda, and it worked flawlessly. The micron gauge on mine was right in line with my BluVac, so I was quite impressed. I loved it, and it took wireless probes working with the SMAN380 to get me to part with it, and I'm glad I did, because for what it is, the 380 is the best manifold I've used, period. Having a screen right there to view everything is a big seller for me along with the wireless JL probe integration.
I never once doubted the readings I got from the YJ and confidence in your tools is a key to good service.
For those wondering, logging on both is pretty much the same, data saved in comma seperated excel file. YJ did vacuum right by not incorporating it into the manifold itself. Testo and YJ have it right......Are you listening FP? I'll probably never use the micron gauge in my SMAN, so I don't care, but if it was done like the YJ, then I'd use it part of the time, one less tool to carry.
