    That's the economizer. For those hot days with very little humidity.
    I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

    Appears to be a home made attempt at a "Piggy-Back", Evap/DX/Gas Package unit of the past. Seen and worked the factory ones, made in the 70's. All in Commercial settings, like the County Dog Pound for one. Job Security at its Finest.

    That kinda looks like a mini cooling tower I saw back in tech school.

    Looks like an RSD cooling tower. Little guys. We have them all over in my neck of the woods.

    Here is the original "piggy-back: unit design, that i spoke of. Designed, patented, and manufactured by the largest evap a/c maker in the USA, in the early 1970s. Note#, the originals were side drafts, unlike the down draft mess shown in the ops photo. enjoy.
