    VRF hvac systems

I am the facilities manager ay a local plant. We have a new building with a Lennox VRF system. I have a few questions. We have the heat coming on and according to the HVAC contractor, this is normal. They tell us that when the heat comes on it is in dehumidifying mode. Is this common with a VRF system? We do have a BAS(Building Automation Systems) hooked up to our units. Could this be our problem?

We have a few systems installed, not VRF though, that heat and cool at same time for dehumidification. Would ask installer or BAS programmer at what RH does the units dehumidify to? Is the zone higher than this set point? Should answer your question.

I was of the understanding that 3rd party automation networks did not play well with VRV/VRF systems. Or have a I missed the latest info?
