I am comparing the cost of VRF & Traditional Inverter ACs. I came to know that VRF units cost almost double the cost of treditional units.

I wanted to know the real reason for the same. I found many reasons like space saving, longer piping length, power saving etc. But, I am not convinced with following points.

1. As the number of ODU is less (One larger capacity unit), how the cost becomes more than multiple units for same capacity in treditional units? Generally, single unit costs less than multiple units.

2. Everywhere it is mentioned that 30% more energy efficient. As I know, both ACs have inverter technology which enables them to consume less energy. Also, rate power consumption of both ACs of same capacity (I mean 6TR VRF and 2TRx3 treditional units) is same in specification.

So, what is the point of double price than traditional units? Are they really worth it?
Can anyone help me to figure out these issues?
