representing unpopular standpoints does not make someone a troll, even if you're not able to understand the standpoint. Wait 5 years more and you will see what I mean. I'm sure the financial system will not survive the next 5 years and with the fail of US dollar the capitalism will also fail. I can only hope it will be replaced by a more humane system

via financial kung-fu with Goldman Sachs & co. Just study how for example subprime stuff was "exported" to Europe and other parts of the world to keep US less affected from the 2008 crisis. US won't have survived it without externalization of these risks. The outcome of that of course was more poverty in remote parts of the world.

Your viewpoint isn't what makes you a troll. It's how you express it.

When US capitalism crashes it will be as the direct result of people electing socialists. Venezuela style financial ruin due to the left destroying what at one time was a solid and wealthy economic system.

Come to Florida. There are lots and lots of nice solid houses that are under $1000. per year for property tax. And if you declare a homestead exemption - you can get it under $500. a year.

    Oh. You're right there.

I wasn't think of how a private company did it. I interpreted your statement as applying to the US as a whole; the government.

BTW: it is no accident that Goldman Sachs are said to be "the smartest Jews on Wall Street" - they absolutely Earned that title. <g>

It has long interested me to poke around and see who is on the other side of any massively losing deal - I find that quite often; it is Goldman Sachs. <g>

Let me guess, there are no homeless encampments in the parks, freeway ramps, or city streets there. And no pooping in the streets like in San Francisco where they said the homeless have a right to do that.

    Am I right?

If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

I use 56% silver on everything except steel.

Did you really need the " If you were a real tech " ??

    And I meant it:

In New Jersey I pay about $900. a month in property tax on my house.

In Florida I pay about $900. a year in property tax on my house.

are you serious or trolling me now? $35.000 in property taxes per year? Well maybe they have a $50 million property or so? What is the value of the property?

In Europe the property taxes are usually somewhere around 0.2 - 0.5% of the property value per year. So a $100.000 (or €) property would pay maybe $500 or so per year in property taxes - in most places where I've been. And you call Europe socialist...? What is more socialist, paying $500 per year for the already paid-by-you property or being ripped off by $30.000 property tax?
