Tax the wealth and the wealthy will leave and take the jobs they create with them. A good way to destroy capitalism which is the intension of the left. Always looking for ways to destroy the pillars that make this country great as to impose their communist globalist agenda.

Looks like that link that Brian posted covers it pretty well.

Bottom line, the progressive left knows they do not have the funds to pay for all of the freebies they want to run on, so they're looking for sources of revenue. And to a congress critter, sources of revenue means how to create new taxes.

Imagine that you own your home free and clear. That is wealth. So they create a tax that you pay on your wealth. Crazy.

Hey Ga, are you a 'have' or a 'have not?'

I'd guess that you are not even a millionaire.

    Oh, now I'm really scared.

I am currently working for a retired insurance employee who worked for Liberty Mutual. He said that they have so much cash that they loan it to banks so it doesn't' upset their books and that they are only allowed to have so much cash on hand. So, why are we charged the rates we are being charged? And, why do they refuse to pay up when asked to? Because they are just another POS, blood sucking corp that will run this country into the ground. So go on CW, clamor for their trickle down and stock gains while they ram it up everyone else's *** just so you can get yours.

Unlimited accumulation of wealth by small number of individuals is the source of all evil on this planet.
What economic theory does this come from?

I have to agree with you guys that I don't like most of the tax ideas from the link Brian posted. They do seem like a rather drastic way to bring in more money to the government. I'm all for making the wealthy pay more by eliminating a lot of the loop holes in the tax code but not by unfairly taxing what is not income or real property. I'm not really a fan of any of the Dem. candidates except Bernie & I'm even starting to have my doubts about him, but I just can't strand Trump. If the Reps. had the guts to get rid of him, I could possibly see myself voting Republican the next election. But that won't happen because his followers think of him as the country's savior & it wouldn't be politically safe to oppose him. I think of Trump as the most dangerous threat to our freedom & democracy since our country was founded. All his economic fiascoes don't concern me as much as his quest for dictatorship & his followers who would help him achieve his goal.

Insurance corps are already profit capped.
An insurance corp is required to have double the funds available that current policies total.
Also if they are loaning to banks...banks are paying back at the same time.. really doesn't mean much to cash on hand.
Also loaning to banks with interest actually lowers your insurance rates.. as profit is made is made from other sources besides ins premiums.

So you would actually vote for a self proclaimed socialist rather than Trump?

When I see him in a few days, I'll tell him that MG says that he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Cracks me up how people know more than those who have spent an entire career in an industry.

He says they are as disgusting and corrupt as it gets...and he was embarrassed to even admit to folks what he did for a living.

Just where do you get the idea that Trump is on a quest to become a dictator? What is your evidence?

I don't think there is anyone no matter how much I disliked their policies that I wouldn't vote for rather than Trump. If you thought that your only choice was between a self proclaimed Democratic Socialist & a Dictator then who would you choose?

If you think Trump is a dictator, then your question is not valid. I have not seen any signs that would qualify him for a dictator. In fact, just the opposite really. Seeing as how he has been removing regulation after regulation that our previous president put in place in order to intentionally knock America back a few steps.

I explained to you why they have so much cash on hand... they are required to have funds available to cover every policy.
I then explained to you that them loaning money for interest to banks actually keeps your rates down...as it is profit..I told you before that insurance is profit capped...that means if they are making money other than from premiums.. it keeps premiums down.
So what you have is someone that worked for an insurance company that is so disgusted with the job that they are ashamed .... Lol.
I guess we can add insurance man into the top ten of most disgusting embarrassing jobs....lol
