Trane rtaa 70 low pressure fault.

I have a chiller that trips once a day or so. The charge looks fine. I am going to replace switch. Any other ideas besides exv hanging up. Thanks

I have had those Texas instrument low pressure peanut switches trip way to soon, you need to see if that's happening. They normally have valve cores under them.

It is to open at 7# (r22). I checked charge on both circuits. It's fine. I had to replace lvg water sensor in July. I checked flow back then it was fine. This thing may trip once a day. It went all weekend without tripping. I am replacing low pressure switch tommorrow. If it continues the only thing I could figure is exv isnt opening all the time. I guess it could be suction sensor too.

Checked ampage on startup.Make sure compressor is not starting loaded. That could also cause issue.

Check the male unload solenoid coil. May be loading but not unloading when it needs to. Seen a few bad unload coils that will cause problems with low evap temp and low pressure cutout.
