    Cased coils are for sissies

    Get that casing out of here !

    So the call was for no cool , I found the contactor bad , replaced that , and figured I would check the evap before i left

    I opened the closet and thought that coil sitting there was the old one someone left there from a change out

    NO its actually running like that !

    Down flow obviously

    In a trailer park

    I did go ahead and clean it since it was such easy access

    I rarely see a case on mobile home coils unless it is below the heat section.
    The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
    Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

    yeah, I don't think I've ever seen one with a case....not that I do a lot of residential anymore. just helped a friend with his last week, found the leak on the coil in about 2 minutes. access is great!!

    the one I just worked on, the blower compartment was open below the coil also, so you could look underneath as easily as on top.

    I believe, what you are talking about, is a manufactured home. As compared to a true mobile home.
    Having the coil on bottom, and being open. That's the configuration ive seen on manufactured homes. Also the vents are in the ceiling.

    Of course it's an "Intertherm"

    No Trap, Evap Pan beginning to rust, Coil not properly Secured, No Filters, Black mold every where, & .... How do You get the door off, to see the damage to the A.H.?

    And/or Electric Lion, .... Intertherm(Miller/Maytag/Garrison) & Coleman have cased Coils for their Air Handlers to sit on, for M.H. use.

    it normaly goes in the white coil box its sitting on with the furance on top of it both downflow units by miller or intertherm
