Hello all, Our chillers (glycol/water) are set at 28-29 degrees. Chillers are Dunham Bush WCFX 270 ton vertical screw, liquid condenser, R134A. Glycol mixture is 30/70 % mix. One, am I right that the set point is to low? When set there the compressors run all the time in "low suction hold" with a warning. Also the HGBP (hot gas bypass) runs constantly. When I set the chiller to 32 degrees, the warning goes away and the HGBP shuts off. The cutomer wants the chiller set to 28-29. Question; will this damage the compressors running all the time on low suction hold and with HGBP on constantly? Any help is very appreciated!
