    My guess is was like from the git-go. You wouldn't likely ever notice it unless you were looking for a leak in that area of the coil.

    Another possibility for those bumps or blisters in the copper is ice.

    At that end of the coil it's common to have a permanent buildup of frost and ice. When there's a continual cycle of localized thawing and refreezing such as near the heater element, the refreezing exerts enormous pressure on the tubing when it expands. I've seen this a lot with frozen food case evap coils with hot gas defrost which don't completely defrost then refreeze. Many times the copper splits open from this.

    Ive brazed plenty of Tube Bends , but that shits really close to the alum

    The 2nd pic has a bubble half way down

    You haven't see a copper hydronic coil ?
    I see that split. The Captain's Hook is perfect for that repair.
