Frozen lines out to AC unit. Turned off unit let everything thaw out then started troubleshooting. Blower motor won't turn on at all -- just hear humming when I enable unit from thermostat. Tried giving blades a spin by hand to startup with no luck. Would like to test capacitor but not visible in lower cabinet.
Any ideas?
TIA.

Thanks for replies. Wasn't really looking for a how-to just a "where is it at", apologies if that is in violation.
Unit hasn't been serviced for a few years so plan on calling contractor shortly. Wanted to understand issue a bit more before calling as I don't really have any I trust (not that they aren't out there, just don't have established relationship with one).
There is a contractor locator map here on the site that includes the volunteers here.
Maybe see if someone is in your area that can help.

Isn't that kind of like getting on an auto repair forum and asking where the oxygen sensor is because you have a oxygen sensor fault and you want to be able to show your mechanic where it is so he can change it?
I mean, why would you ask where the capacitor is located , if you weren't intending to look at it and change it?

Primarily because I wanted to understand what we had going on so I can ask correct questions given i have no established relationship with a HVAC company. If it was a $10 fix I may have done it myself but either way I was calling someone out to check the entire system because it has been several years and I have no way of checking for leaks, etc. Same thing I do with my cars. If I'm paying for a pro I want to get as much as possible out of it.
Apologies if i offended, money was still gonna flow to a professional.
FWIW tech just left and the blower & module were bad. Instead of the repair I agreed to replace both furnace and ac and he provided us with a temporary fix until they can get out and do the work (supposed to be 99 here next few days). The info I found from the internet and forums helped me have an educated discussion with the tech about the issues I am seeing and feel much more comfortable agreeing to replace the entire system. We covered several topics that I would not have been able to otherwise. He did give me a repair option but it was more money than i was willing to spend on a 15 year old system.
Also no capacitor on this blower.
