Most franchises went back to Trane, a few refused to sell and are now dealing Daikin, York etc. Ireland based Ingersoll Rand is trying really hard to expand their market share in the US, their business practices are less than ethical and are pissing off customers and contractors equally, We'll see how the revamping works out for them, Wouldn't be surprise if IR puts Trane up for sale in the near future.
There is not better place for the working men than the union! 100% UA the only HVAC union!

Ingersoll Rand is spinning off Trane and selling the majority of its non-HVACR industrial business to Gardner Denver. It was announced in late May early June. The Bullock Trane in Spokane and Knipp Trane in Wichita Franchises were the most recent acquisitions. Word is that FIX a.k.a. SFBA Trane will ask for $1B.

SFBA, Armacost (Montana), and Lawyer (Las Vegas) are, I believe, the last in the Western US.
