I have the new Stratus,so far so good.you are saying the testo is better? did you actually test it side by side ?Did you compare it to an H10.are you saying one leak detector did not pickup a refrigerant, or one picked it up better than the others ?I have not used the Status too much for 410,it has been very good with $04a.I guess some detectors are better on certain refrigerants.Which is best overall.

It was a single test comparing the 316-4 to the Stratus, using a small 410A PPM concentration test gas. The 316 detected with a convincingly high detection signal while the Stratus didn't detect at all.

I don't have an H-10 to do any comparison tests...my R-22, heated sensor, go-to detector is a Tif ZX. It doesn't detect 410 as well as the Stratus or 316.

My input to this thread has pretty much hijacked Itsiceman's initial topic question...I suppose apologies for that would be in order.

I don't feel like I missed anything. The more info the better.
I am not sitting here wondering if I should buy a Stratus to replace my H10 Pro anymore so take the thread where ever it wants to go or start a new thread so some great info doesn't get buried under this one.

H-10 works fine with 410A. At least mine does, just need to crank up the heat a bit, then remember to turn it back down when you're done. Not sure how much more simple it can get.

Don't know about the H-10 Pro, still using the H-10G.
I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

I don't feel a need to adjust the heater on the H10 Pro
If you look at Nathan's leak detector report it makes sense. The H10 Pro is a better.

Are you referring to the 2014 report here?

There is a link in the Stratus video that is updated but yes.

Good to know. Because my H-10G is on it's last legs, and the H-10's have worked better than anything else I've seen, figured I'd be getting the Pro if/when the G dies.

Just seen so many posts on this site saying the Pro doesn't work very well. Couldn't take a whole lot of stock in those comments, because I've only seen a couple of techs through the decades that knew how to use them. All others had no clue of how to use them. So just had to assume that would be true on this site.
