    I don't know what's more amazing: this or the fact that people still use fax machines.

    Talking to one a telco guy at one of or buildings apparently fax is "more secure" than email for some applications.

    Something low tech that is very difficult to hack...

    If it has a computer it can be hacked.
    Last facility I was at fax machines were a separate phone line. Computers were all hard wired with no fax capabilities.

    YUP...

    Fax is hard to hack... it is NOT on the internet... rather on an old fashioned phone line.

    Now one 'can' fax on the internet...
    However old fashioned fax is a LOT more secure.

    One more thing...
    Most phone lines now-a-days...
    Are VOIP (voice over internet protocol)... so you are back to sending data on the internet.
    Need and OLD FASHIONED phone line!
