ERV AS POST FIRE SMOKE PURGE SYSTEM

Hi, I am working on a commercial 16 story building in Manhattan and it is using an energy recovery wheel. The ERV in normal operation is supplying air to the space. There is no exhaust tied to the return. It is just a return duct on each floor with a FSD. There is another smoke purge operation where post fire it is able to purge the smoke at the required rate. Is it a good idea to use an ERV for a smoke purge system?

Imagine smoke exhausting out through an ERV wheel. Fresh air passing through the smoke coated webs of the ERV wheel?

Provide 60-100 cfm of fresh air when occupied to purge indoor pollutants and keep window dry during cold weather. T-stat setup/setback +8 hrs. saves energy
Use +Merv 10 air filter. -Don't forget the "Golden Rule"
