Old TV Programs You Fondly Remember From When You Were A Kid

One of my favorites was Combat with Vic Morrow. Been watching them on You Tube. Let's get a list going. What TV programs from your childhood do you recall as favorites?

Yeah, that was entertaining due to the personalities. I also liked Wild, Wild West but now that I am an adult I don't see how it was that I liked the program as much as I did back then as a kid.

Abbott and Costello was still on when I was a kid.

Must have seen Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy 50 times.

Hey, my daughter teaches 5th grade and she uses a few short clips from Abbott and Costello in her English class. The Whose On First take to illustrate the importance of clear use of language.

She also uses a short clip from Ma And Pa Kettle in math class. Where Pa gets his math all confused in paying rent. Pretty funny. The 5th graders really pay attention when she inserts that kind of humor into her lessons. They beg for more but she makes it rare and special.

How about Leave It To Beaver? That program was full of life lessons in honesty and integrity.

Can't leave out Gunsmoke and Have Gun Will Travel, two great old TV westerns.

Yup, and The Rifleman and Bonanza both taught positive civil principles, honest and integrity. Not something we see on TV today.

I'm 34 growing up we couldn't miss TGIF I think it was on ABC? Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Boy Meets World. A few other ones that I cant remember. Pretty sad I remember the lineup from 20something years ago.

I watched leave it to beaver re-runs as a kid and thought Wally and Beaver were pretty cool. When I got a little older , I realized Eddie Haskell was the only person on that show that resembled reality.
