    Heart attack last week

I had a heart attack Friday June 7th.I died on the table once and they had to shock me with the paddles. I feel very blessed to be living. They put 4 stents in. I eat healthy and go to the gym twice a week. I am going to start wearing gloves because at my age (63) my skin is getting thinner and I cut easier. Taking blood thinners I need to be more careful. Does anybody have any recommendations on gloves that are easy to work in?

I love the yellow/black cheap gloves at Home Depot. Something like 10 pair for $10. I always have them on when working.

No gloves but yes do bleed easy and for a longer time.

Wow ! Now there's a reality check. As you know you're very lucky and might want to consider retirement. Of course if you're like myself that would not bring me pleasure because doing what I do does that.

Reading this makes me look at what I am doing , and that I have not always made the right choices. Time for a new look at life.

I wish you the best. January we were in Portland and middle of the night I knew something wasn't right ER diagnosis was Afib. Now I'm on 3 pills and bruise like an old man. Well I am old, 78. As for gloves, we used lightweight kinda like knitted material that work pretty well.

My own business. Changing out a compressor on a roof of a restaurant. The pain hit me the last time I came down the ladder. I had just hauled every tool on the roof I needed to change out the compressor

No I’m not. I’ve been unemployed for 15 years with exception of going back 3 times for 3 months each time.

Isn't it amazing your body knows to stave off medical emergencies until after you unload your tools and are ready to start a job?

Glad to hear you're doing OK.

Looking back do you think there was any signs leading up to it or total surprise?

    Did you see the light?

They also a high cut resistant version, These are what I use pretty good dexterity, Plus I can use my cell phone with them on. Meaning the screen can read your finger , so many don't work with glove.

Pretty scary. I had a heart attack and triple bypass on the "widowmaker" 3 1/2 years ago. They told my friends they don't like to do bypass on someone while still having a heart attack but if they didn't, I wouldn't last the night. I'm mostly a desk jockey but can do as well as before. Same issue with blood thinner, the old bod sure likes to bleed. Need to get more exercise and lose weight though.
