Sanctuary cities got what they asked for

I guess being a sanctuary city isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Funny isn't it.. They threw a fit when he tried to secure the border.. she had the national guard retreat.. and now she wants to sue because there are too many of deep Southerners
She already determined they weren't a problem... now has she asked to re-establish border security. It's all on here.
Would be like ordering speed limit signs removed..then sueing because of the accidents it caused.
    What a 'charade'

How anyone can support the Democrat party is beyond me. The Democrat party is overflowing with these lunatics. They are holding the reigns. And nastalgic thoughts the will ever be the party of the classic liberal every again is insanity.

Liberals need to jump ship. Something drastic needs to be done. We are at the level of people who still supported the Nazi party in 1935 in the Democrat party.

Anyone that votes one single time anymore for this party needs to be committed. That isn't an exaggeration or firey hyperbole.

I guess they're going to take issue with this sanctuary city:

Texas border town declares itself sanctuary city for the unborn

Sanctuary city?! More like sanctuary village. Waskom, TX has 2,189 residents. Also, for those who appreciate accuracy, Waskom is located about 500 miles from the border with Mexico.

The really sad thing is, per capita income for the "city" is $13,080, and about 24.2% of the population is below the poverty line, including 35.5% of those under age 18.

Excellent work, Waskomians, you just decided that the solution to having over one third of your kids in poverty, is to have more kids.

I'm no fan of abortion, but maybe the kooky Waskomians should look into a modern technology called birth control, considering how little money they make.

I did a search on the town. There were three recent articles on the vote.

Check out the WaPo bias shown in the title alone. These people can't help themselves.

Here's a screenshot. Washington Post is on the left.

“Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.”
-Possibly said by Thomas Jefferson(but true even if he didn't)

“What one generation tolerates, the next generation will embrace.”
― Definitely said by John Wesley

    I don't get it.

Five men DIDN'T outlaw abortion in a Texas town?

Not to mention the Faux News Headline was blatantly misleading.

What are you trying to say?

It ain't what you don't know that gets you in trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

Yeah, I saw that. These men were voted in to their position by men and women of the town. The only way the Left can live with themselves is through out & out lies or self-deception.

I doubt you've read anything indicating they don't believe in BC, so it must be the 35% under 18. No surprise that your assessment is condescending, but did it ever occur to you that these people are perfectly happy with the simplicity of their lives? Maybe happier than most. Additionally, poverty in a small town isn't the same as it would be for us 'city folk'. The cost of living is lower.

Small town poverty is the dreariest kind there is. At least in the city, there can be an ambience of excitement and a dream of upward mobility.

Romanticizing the simple townfolk, huh, vin? I always sensed you were a nostalgic, sentimental type...but romanticizing a $13,000 per capita income is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?

Personally, I have nothing against the simple life. On the contrary, I'm currently making strides towards attaining it for myself. You might be surprised to hear it, but I have worked and lived on farms on two occasions in my life, and I plan to have a crack at it again in the not too distant future, but this time on my own property.
