    We are still uncivilized

Yes folks nature still has the upper hand as comfortable as you may be, I’m basing this off the consensus that the power grid and general comfort is the reason for our godly forgiving nature. Should we ever loose our convenient life styles that both the rich and semi poor alike posses we would inevitably turn back to our animal instinct and our godly features would be no more, we would be of beasts for the most part. The meek would be slaughtered and the selection of human inheritance of the earth would be nothing more or less than that of an animal.

well, if thats the case I think godliness can be measured in volts and we far from godly. If we should ever be spiritually greater than the world and not susceptible to its perils we would have to operate on a higher voltage than the world can produce. We need something like 50trillion volts. We need power so anxious you could give power to whole earth from a fiber optics cable. Endless and unlimited, the VA would be insane.

We have the power source. It rises in the east and set in the west. Solar will only leave us wanting and destroying. We need physical contact with our sun. I for one vote for a stairway to heaven.

It’s an awesome time to be on the earth. You hear so many folks complaining about this or that, and I scratch my head. I’m drinking 35 degree beer. Got chicken wings smoking on the grille. Was a little warm so I just lowered the stat to 72. Wife and I took the dog on a four mile walk this morning before church. Went to driving range after church and then to the pool to swim a bit. Cranked up the tiller and turned some dirt to plant some mater plants my neighbor gave me after getting home from pool, that’s why I had to lower the stat.

Could all go away tomorrow...but dang it’s a good time to be alive.

It's easy to get comfy when you can isolate yourself and ignore the bear at the door.
The Earth is very anxious right now. The "Masters of War"(Dylan) are wakening. It reminds me very much of a chess match where the pawns are being positioned and resolve is being tested.
Every day the possible nuke exchange seems inevitable. The bombs detonated at Hiroshima and Nagasaki were tiny by comparison to today but what is really staggering are the numbers.
Then there's no place to hide.

Ya, I see that. I should have referenced Scoobie's post above #2. I was reading his and just took off from there.
Scoobie was basking in his great day and all I could think of was the Grateful Dead singing
"When things look like easy street, there's danger at the door."
