    Frymaster RE114SC contactor

    Hello,

I have a Frymaster model RE114SC electric deep fryer.

The back contactor (Heat contactor) isn’t calling for power when powered on.

If I manually hold the button on the contactor down while the unit is on, the fryer will heat.

I changed the contactor, and still have the same issue.

Any suggestions on where to start with this problem?

    Thanks!

Why did you replace that contactor? Did you test for the required 24vac to its coil before replacing it?

I'll fast-track this with what you need to troubleshoot the problem. Here's the service manual. It's on the open web, but somewhat difficult to find if you're not familiar with Frymaster's website. There are some really good schematics beginning on page 36 (by PDF numbers):

    I hope this helps. I'm suspecting you're a DIYer, so that's all I can offer. This isn't a do-it-yourself forum.
