Testing with DMM on small harnesses

Im sure most if you have encountered the same issue as me, when trying to stab your test probes into micro looking harness plug. I havent found a good way to test the ones that are too small to for a standard probe.

Curious to hear how you guys have overcame this

IIRC i bought the fluke test probe kit. But b4 id just use t stat wire

Ive been using paper clips cut off, just dont punch then thrue the tip of your finger...

I use the FP needle probes. Fluke makes them also

I use Probemaster probes with needle points, work on everything!

A file can come in handy... file down the tips to what you need. I needed a thin flat tip a while back and I grabbed a pair of those cheap leads that come with fluke meters... and filed the tips down on them.

Note, they are only rated for 60vdc. Don't tell anyone, but I've used them on higher voltage. Plus, not great for solid conductor cable. Perfect for typical low voltage control wiring found in hvacr equipment.

My trouble for the most part is the plastic part. You can't get two leads close enough together.
