ReplySome cheap adapters will show a much higher voltage when they are not under load. Is 18v the measured voltage or is it what's on the label? Since the H-10 uses a lead-acid battery, it should be charged at around 13.6v and 18v will kill it.

When I bought my H10-PM 8-9 years ago it came with a 120/240 AC adapter to charge it.
The adapter output shows 18vdc 1.1A
There was an optional AC adapter that I also purchased so it could be run on AC power.
It has an output of 13.5vdc 1700ma or 1.7A
The front of the H10-PM states 12vdc.
The reason I ask is because I damaged the casing of my 13.5vdc power adapter but I have a Dell PC AC adapter that states 19vdc 3.1A.
I tried it and it seems to run and charge the H10-PM so Im assuming that there is a voltage regulator built in to the unit.

Interesting, I guess there must be a built-in regulator. Wonder what input range it can handle?
