Replaced Cond Fan, can't cool below 10deg now

Half ton system. Walk-in freezer, low temp. Only replaceed the evaporator motor - old motor would barely spin.. Then all of a sudden the system can't get below 10 degrees. We never cracked the system, or lost refrigerant. Checked the expansion valve and condenser coils. They look good, and are Distributing evenly. System Cycles well if set to 20 degrees. So this is more of a theory question - why would only replacing the fan change any of the Dynamics?

Yeah that's pretty sloppy. What I mean by that is the frost is evenly distributed and doesn't indicate that I need to make any adjustments. I usually use that is a go no-go indicator what's the weather or not expansion valve needs to be tweaked.

Shine a flashlight thru the evap coil to see if its frozen up. Defrost schedule may not be able to overcome a dead evap motor

If you are a service tech, this is in the wrong area.
