Ya. Figured one of you guys would say something about that. I had to match the existing hole because of crap on the other side of the wall. Being that the new unit is physically bigger it is what it is. That door is the entrance to the garage and still moves freely and the spring on it doesnt let it open enough to hit the unit anyway.

Ya. Hard to see as I was going to use some pretty beefy 3/8" head lags that I had initially. But if you are familiar with the feet on those condensors, there is a center hole that is large and 2 small ones left and right. I decided to not get too crazy and just installed 2" zips in each of the small holes, so it has eight 2" zips holding it down which is more than satisfactory per our inspectors.

As an addition to this post. Whenever I install these units commercially, I use two 4 x 4 sleepers and then lay the pad on top with liquid nails. I then take 4" spikes with fender washers and make sure they go through the pad and bite into the sleepers at least an inch. Although sometimes that doesn't suffice for some of our inspectors as they want to see the entire setup anchored to the roof somehow. Becomes a pain as we have to locate structure below first of all, then have a roofer come out and "wrap" the sleepers to make everything water-tight.

What I have been waiting to hear is just one thing:

Is Adlerbert happy with his protege's installation?
