Refrigerant tracking

I just took over a job where I’m in charge of tracking refrigerant. The previous guy seems to have gone way overboard with all the info he was trying to collect. Can anyone give me guidelines on what needs to be tracked and what info is needed? It’s a college campus with MANY different types of refrigerant.

I only tracked units that contain 50#’s or more.

So you didn’t track containers and what came in and out of your shop?

As far as I’m aware only units containing 50#’s or more need a paper trail for leak rates. Less then and you can top off until he’ll freezes over!
