    What do you mean?
The pump I used had 3-4 uses on the oil. The tank wasn’t a fresh tank. I use it for r22 storage for repairs...

Did you remember to open the tank valves? Is your micron gauge JB or something like that?

Maybe I mis-read your post above, I read it as 1.21 seconds. Maybe you meant closer to a minute and a half?

Regarding sealing the hoses, I use a 1/4 x 3/8 flare union to screw the two ends together. Actually, I looked around my scrap brass box and found items I soldered together to make those unions.
I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

I doubt he could pull 100 on two new hoses by themselves in a minute

I had a helluva time with my new hoses and new micro BluVacs. I just sort of gave up bench testing, and began using them in the field. Then a few months later I learned the reason why. In the meantime, I learned about the hoses out gassing.

The main reason my bench testing had terrible results is because the recovery bottle had a leak. I found out a few months later when I realized there was no refrigerant in the bottle when there should have been, Oooops.

For testing, use one hose from your pump the the tank. And put the vacuum gauge on the other tank fitting, never on the pump itself.

I’m awestruck. Can’t wait to try them on a system

I have a CPS wireless gauge.

The tank was open. Both hoses connected to each side of the tank. Micron gauge was the tank.
That was a typo error on my part I meant minutes not seconds.

I closed off the tank and the hoses only pulled down too 85 microns. I converted my intake cross on my pump to 2 3/8”

    LOL. That would explain it.

New Appion hose, or a hose that has finished out gassing?

JB micron gauges are a bit sketchy in my experience. They either read low right away, or never.

Analog gauges, hoses, pumps, and brass hardware is where they shine. And there recovery machine is pretty good also.

I think it was a brand new hose since a previous video showed a lower pull on 3/8 yellow jacket that was years old.
