Any decent, reliable, not expensive device out there for reading room or box temperature and humidity? Not looking to break the bank, something simple. T.y.

I found the Testo 605 or 605i smart probe sticks pretty good for the money. They don't have the range of some others, but they seem to be fairly accurate, or right in line with all of the other meters I own. I just sold a brand new 605i on eBay for $65, most go for $80 or so. There's a non BT 605 going for ~$30 plus shipping.
If you prefer a longer telescopic probe, you can look at the Fieldpiece.
