judging by the dust wiped off the plastic .... id say he did indeed come thru a missing register , across the flex , then fell down into the wheel ( while unit was off ) and it acted like a Chinese finger trap

About 10 years ago I got a residential No-Heat call. Opened blower door and found few month old kitten jammed half in and half out of the blower on the motor side of the squirrel wheel. It was pinned against a motor mount leg. The furnace was in a finished basement where they had a return air cut in down low in the tv room in the basement. Kids had knocked off the baseboard grille and appears the cat had torn through the cheap fiber filter, probably pawing at it as a scratch pad..... mix a bit of kitty curiosity with a call for heat and you got yourself dead cat. I think the cat got spun a few hundred times before being thrown half out and jamming things. Wheel was pretty out of balance with q ton of fur.

I was obviously respectful and took the husband aside (he seemed to me more mentally stable) and advised him of the issue. He appreciated me keeping it on the downlow with the kids all around. I removed the kitty and placed it in a bag. No blood or guts, just a new wheel and they had heat again.

I can't say as much for another home where the kid lost a big gardener snake he had in a makeshift cage in his bedroom. The snake ended up escaping and getting into ductwork. No AC on this home thus the snake fell down the plenum down past the hot heat exchanger into the running blower...yeah that was the messiest clean up I ever had to do when it came to blood and guts.

Sure glad we don't have kittens, snakes, or rodents in CA.
If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

I use 56% silver on everything except steel.

Did you really need the " If you were a real tech " ??

There = not here. Their = possessive pronoun. They're = they are
It's = contraction of it is. Its = the possessive form of it
Too = also. To = expressing motion. Two = 2
Then = after that, next. Than = indicates a comparison.

I found a crow head first in a flue outlet on an 80%er in the basement. The flue pipe was about 35' vertical. I thought about his horrible death for weeks.

I really don't think we should have threads like this to be honest. That cat was somebody's pet and I think the OP along with a couple other posters in this thread need to think a little before they post this stuff. Would you post a picture of someone's dog in the same manner?

poor cat. For that kind of reason I have added screens in the utility and garage to prevent mine from getting under the pier and beam house (they fervently desire to explore it).. and they are not allowed in the electronics/ ham radio room for high voltage reasons. Kinda like child-proofing, but pet-proofing.
