    Alternate to Dishwasher Air Gap.

Yep, I stepped into a flooded kitchen this morning. Is there an alternate to the cheap plastic Air gap? Does anyone sell the Copper/ Brass ones anymore? BTW MY dishwasher drain goes into the Garbage Disposal tap.

Air gaps aren't required anymore for residential dishwashers in MI (and I think IPC 2015). Just strap the discharge hose to the underside of the sink and replace that stupid air gap with a soap dispenser or a plug.

The tap on your disposal is made for dishwasher discharge.
