Never worked on this before the blower wheel fell down other than that it was running. I told him change out. He kept asking to fix it and I kept saying change out

Yeah and it doesn't always come appreciated either.

Once I tried helping a customer with a rotted out heat pump. Control board and transformer fried, causing the heater kit relays to stay closed in the middle of summer. Customer had severe respiratory issues and the house was about 100 degrees, hotter than outside. I felt bad for him because he didn't have the money, so I took a salvaged transformer and got the heat pump running in cooling to get him some relief, but told him the heater kit isn't going to operate so he needs to do something before winter. Didn't charge anything except the diagnostic. A couple days later, his wife calls up to the office screaming we broke her system and we need to make it the way it was because she's not going to have heat. We explained to her over and over if we undo it, the system is going to be running in heating only. She then threatened to sue us, but it obviously went nowhere.

Ever since then, when I run into situations like this, I'm black and white - replace the system or I'm moving on to the next call.

Need a hazmat suit for that one !
If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

I use 56% silver on everything except steel.

No heat. Loud noise last night. Get there and the blower wheel has fallen down and binding the motor. System is in working order other than that
