The speed how fast something gets to you, has nothing to do with the speed of transport. A supplier of products only has so much sending power. When there are lots of persons getting stuff, the supplier has to limit how fast it can be send.

Unless the supplier adds more capacity.

Remember when dial-up was as good as it gets...
    Then ADSL came along...
    Then Cable...
    Then fiber...
Each has the ability to move MORE data!

5G or 6G... whichever we get...
    Depending on who you read...
Could well be 100 times faster than the average home cable or ADSL connection...
YES, that was not a typo...
    100 TIMES FASTER!

The president doesn't need to know everything he needs to know who does. Too bad Obama didn't know the right people. This thread wasn't meant to bash anyone. I ask a question because I had no idea what the 5G and 6G technology was. I don't really need to know but want to know. Thanks for the info guys and keep it coming.

    Yes...
When the govt drains off the investment R&D $$$... for social programs...
It is hard for that country to innovate.
Now if Trump can get the govt off the backs of business... and business chooses to innovate...
Well the USA has a track record of leaping waaay out front...
Lets see if we can make it happen again...

You all need to understand, Presidents no longer have the power to control certain things. They are only allowed certain stuff that doesn't effect what those in power want, otherwise he does what he's told.

President Eisenhower tried to warn us, Americans just did not understand, or cared. The Kennedy's attempted to curtail what was happening, but I need not tell you what happened to them, only one survived for he was controlled.

All you have to look at certain action that our presidents make, its a dead give away. There are two governments, the one we see, and there is one hidden in general. There are certain installation that a president cant even go to, if he even knows of them.

We are no longer in control, we lost that after Eisenhower. If I have to tell you all who is in control, there would be no point in it, I don't think Americans have the will nor the knowledge any longer.

Its sad, but so it is.

But really, your post isn't about what Trump knows or doesn't know, is it? Isn't it really just another opportunity for you to 'scream at the sky'?
6G isn't coming in two years there isn't even an agreement for what it will be and the first 5G phones are only just being announced. What 6G will be and when we will see it is entirely theoretical at this point so Trump saying the U.S needs to adopt 6G only makes sense if you accept he is talking out of his ass or give him the benefit of the doubt that he means way WAY down the line that the U.S should adopt 6G technology as soon as it is available. Of course he didn't say that he said he wanted 5G and even 6G as soon as possible and he insinuated that this superior technology was being kept out because it was somehow being "blocked". Also Trump is a shitty businessman but I don't want to rehash his incredible string of bankruptcies or once again mention how U.S lenders refused to do business with him because they knew it would be a better return on their investment to burn their cash for heat than to loan it to Trump.

Folks REALLY need to learn to see the larger picture...
Rather than try to make everything a way to be negative about Trump!

    Jeez...
    Grow up already!

Here is a question for you Trump haters...
If you, because you are in a position to see things the public will probably not see for years...
Know that 6G is the future after 5G...
And you know that it take 5-6-7 years to get the technology through R&D and ready to roll out...

    Now answer me this:
Would you wait until companies in other countries had already done their R&D before starting to motivate the companies in your country...
Or would you see the future down the road...
And try to encourage the companies in your country to get on the wagon and be leaders in the new wave 5-6-7 years down the road (or maybe 10 years)???

Seems when I was in college doing business classes...
    That was called

    'VISIONARY'

To see waaaay into the future and start motivating folks to get ahead and
    'Carpe Diem'
    (sieze the moment)

I guess if a leftist does it, it is good...
But if a rightist does it, it is bad???

    Please explain this...
    Inquiring minds want to know!

    Meanwhile...
The sun is shining, it is gonna be a beautiful day in my area...
So you guys figure it out...
GA is gonna go outside and enjoy the day!

Since Bams “tapped Dons wires” he wants to upgrade to 6G.

I thought the official position of bam bam and the democrats was and is that there was no wire tap. I remember the far left wing media in collusion with the democrats making fun of Trump for saying that there was. Are you after 2.5 to 3 years admitting Trump was right?

Since we know your comments aren't about your love for 5G, may I suggest you start a thread where you can list all the reasons you hate Trump? It's obvious that you feel somehow slighted by our President. Perhaps it would be cathartic. It would also allow you to avoid the dishonesty of cloaked diatribes.

Then there is no need for 6G... as there is nothing there to see...

You would need to be in 5G network to see any difference. I actually found some 5G in Downtown Atlanta a couple of weeks sgo, but didn't have a chance to put it to any tests.

Do you have a 5G device???
Did not know they were out yet.

    On the subject of ATT...
Friday afternoon, went by my home to pick up a few supplies for the job I am on...
Saw someone marking the streets and front yards for utilities locations.
So I stopped and asked him what he was doing... were we getting new gas lines, new water lines, etc???
He said he was marking the N/gas lines... because ATT is gonna come into the subdivision and bury fiber.

    YEAH!!!

I detest Comcast... I am more than ready for ATT to put fiber into the neighborhood and I can leave Comcast!

Yeah, I have one of the newer Samsung phones, and it just did a major update that enabled 5G.

Regarding Comcast...I had a terrible time with their installers at home, but the product is good. I have 100 meg, and it's been rock solid.

AT work I have Comcast Business Class. Their people are far better than the resi bunch, and the service there has also been extremely good.
