    Reading M-Bus

Have a project that includes some Endys DRC-60 M-Bus meters they want to pick up.

I'm looking at the Meter Bus LGR driver saying connect to S1/S2 RS485-2W. I'm also reading up on M-Bus being a 36 Volt special interface that powers the meter which requires a converter to get to RS485.

Is the TI leaving out a converter or are these two M-Bus (for meters) and Meter-Bus not the same thing? Certainly seems like it is the same thing and the TI is leaving out a physical converter?

Take a look at the attached manual from Loytec which may help explain things a bit better for you.

Good, guess I just need to find a RS485 M-Bus physical converter somewhere.

I think Sierra Monitor makes a gateway for it. Check it here.

There are a wide selection of gateways out there for it but I appear to have a native driver.
