    Air Filter Shortage ?

I picked up a belts and filter order last week and was told by the supplier that there was a big labor issue at the manufacturer and that they had to raise the price on filter. The supplier also said there could be a shortage later this year. Has anyone else heard this or is this just BS so they can raise the price.

What filter brand and location was this? I'm in Ontario Canada and haven't heard or received any notice on that.

I received this email from my local supplier.

"Please be advised that our filter supplier, Flanders, has instituted a 90 day moratorium on all Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Wholesalers. All distributors, both locally and nationally, are affected. We are working with other manufactures so that we can provide you with other options. We apologize for any inconvenience and will update you when more information and other options become available. "

I heard it was something to do with the metal that’s woven/stamped into the filters. I don’t know if it’s bs or not.
