    Carrier variable speed furnace

Did a call out on a Carrier 58MVP variable speed 2 stage furnace. Blower motor not coming on during call for heat or fan only. code 44 comes up.
Not sure how to determine if motor is bad or the main board. Hoping to get some feedback.
    Thanks

Does a Code 12 pop up shortly after a Code 44?

I emailed you some info that may help you troubleshoot this issue.

you're correct. I never opened this post until now. When I posted it was on the "chirp thread" and after I posted it was immediately closed. must be some forum glitch.

edit- (I couldnt figure out where my post went)

Yes. Got a code 12 and 44. All I could note is using my voltage detector wand the black wire going to the motor is hot all the time. Other wires not showing anything when jumping R to G.

It was no glitch. The OP asked for his account to be removed and thread closed.

Fair enough. I can only report what happened when I posted.

What makes you think we need you to report anything?? We don't need your help in moderating this site as I've told you time after time.

    Thanks but stop it now.

I didnt "report" it via the triangle. I made a reply to rundawg on what happened to me when he questioned my post (see post #3 and I deleted my post #2). That was my "report" in this thread. Again, I apologize for replying to a thread that you were closing as I posted. I had no idea it would post here and I had no idea that you were closing the other thread.

I totally understand the moderating thing. I've completely stopped pressing the triangle unless it's a blatant crossing of the rules. This is "your" site, your rules, and it will be as you wish.

I’ve had decent luck using the universal zebra ecm motor tester to tell if the problem is the board or the motor module.
