That is what I thought.i have the 8 CFM Navac.I'm not overly impressed with it.It's not bad, but no better than my old Yellow Jacket 7 CFM bullet pump.I'm looking into getting the Fieldpiece VP-85.I know some people have not liked it,But many more people i talk to, say it is a great pump.I'm sure the 12 CFM pump pulls better than the 8 only makes sense, it's a bigger pump.Do you have an experience with the navac 8 CFM pump or the fieldpiece 8 CFM pump

I have the Fieldpiece 8 cfm. It is a nice pump. I like the oil change feature and the port configuration. I wish it had a check valve. Some jackass took my extension cord off. The Navac pumps have built in check valves to hold your vacuum and prevent oil sucking out of the pump

I always use a vacuum hose with a ball valve.Once i have achieved the vacuum I'm looking for,I close the ball valve on the vacuum hose, which is going to the pump.this holds my vacuum.I then disconnect the hose, with the ball valve closed.Let the pump run a few seconds, then shut the pump off.the ball valve acts like a check valve.Although I now have a Navac pump,I still do this,Habit,I guess.I will probably be getting a fieldpiece VP-85 soon.I like the features it has.I would suggest a ball valve in your vacuum hose.

You still running the Navac 12 CFM pump? I’m looking hard at it and was hoping for a real world review
