    Goodman heat pump not defrosting

The unit is working fine, just icing up around the bottom inside and outside/frosting on some coils. It does not seem to be automatically going into defrost mode. I was advised to replace the board, so I did.

I can jump the defrost test jumper and the valve makes the loud noise, but the fan doesn't stop. I'm thinking the next step is to replace the sensor, but I am looking for any other advice. I also did a thorough cleaning of the coil and inside of the unit.

Any other advice? Call a company that's versed in Heat Pump troubleshooting, doubt replacing the sensor will make the OD fan shut off during defrost, you probably went as far as you can...

You are not troubleshooting the unit, just throwing parts.

Call your local highly rated hvac contractor to have the proper repair made. They will troubleshoot, repair and verify correct operation after repair.
