    Trane Nomenclature/Model # breakdown

    Trane
    YSC090E4ELA0E000000000000C
    Serial# 114011252L

I am having hard time finding resources to break down this model/serial to find the age of unit.

I notice several guides for other models but not this one, unless I overlooked it.

I wasnt sure if it be style 3 for age . I wasnt sure if last letters mattered and had to be ending in F or AA which is why it threw me off.

I am new to this and trying to find out ages, so that I can help others make better choices when it comes to replacing a unit vs replacing parts.

I read it as 2011 40 week, I realize it may be hard to determine but does it look fairly new? what does the overall condition look like, has most of its original parts? Condensor fan motor, blower motor look original, compressor looks original, contactors, any foil tape holding panels in place, missing half the screws? No start up date anywhere on the indoor panels. Etc.etc.

2011 7.5 ton commercial gas package unit. Usually last longer than 6 or 7 years. Why considering replacement?

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?
