9 flash code on york unit heat pump

Leaving a call that I will have to come back to tomorrow.

It's a heat pump 2 stage on a call for cooling I was getting a 9 flash error code on the heat delay lcd.

Tried resetting the power and it didn't work.

Any suggestions or experience with this?

Is it a York guard board? If so, 9 is a shorted or grounded bonnet censor.

It's a 1 source board not sure if that would be considered a York board it is the original though

That unit should have a Simplicity control.

It does indeed have a simplicity board. My supervisor and I are going back tomorrow morning to further trouble shoot it seems like the focus should be on the simplicity board. The defrost board was just replaced not too long ago so it's brand new.
