My money says switch stuck closed. Replace the motor.

The board has to see the switch circuit open at first, and THEN close when the motor spins up.

Ill never find out; I was hired to troubleshoot, I guess. The facilities personell will change out the whole motor with the end switch.
I.m.o. the end switch was stuck closed cuz when I pulled apart the orange wire then plugged it back in, the inducer fan started up and the try cycled through the heat. But then would not cycle on again after satisfying temp unless I did the orange wire thing... Sticking closed.

And yes. I was on part being a wimp in the 22 degrees and hoping to initially score a quick support of my theory whilst warming up. My tools were out of sorts and those nuts on the end switch are a pain in the ... to remove with needle nose.
    Thx everyone.
