    Confused BACnet Scheduling Software

    HI,

Looking for some software that allows a user to edit BACnet scheduling objects. The building control system is fine, but we've got some office workers that are going to take over scheduling and the full blown building automation software is to complex for them.

I figured there must be a PC/Server based or controller based light footprint way of allowing them to schedule.

If its more complicated then a shoe box they probably won't be able to figure it out...

I swear I've seen that in a specification somewhere.

    Best of luck with that.

I like Reliable Controls MACH-ProWeb schedule interface, but between the webserver and programming it would be a little costly for just being a scheduler.

I would suggest creating dedicated logins on the main system that direct the user to pages solely showing scheduling.

Yup, either dedicated, KISS scheduling screen(s) or if that's not feasible then I'd be suggesting an American Automatrix BBC-SD display.

Issue with the BBC-SD is that it can only edit 16 schedules and only on the same MSTP network (as it uses MAC address not Dev#ID to connect to the controllers) last I used it. So if you have devices across multiple MSTP networks you will need one per network that is physically on that network buss.

Is adding another layer really going to help? I've seen things like schooldude and integration into outlook calendars to push scheduling to the BMS system but getting those things tied together isn't trivial. I know I've done integrations for systems where the original UI was unusable but again integration isn't easy or cheap.

Why can't the front end accomplish this very common task? Can you not dumb down the front end and only present schedules? Create the common groups for them?

If you had Delta Controls ORCAweb there is a program called virtual Stat.
Runs on the clients computer on the task bar. Allows schedule and temperature set-point adjustment for assigned zones. Each LUser has their own login and can only see what their allowed to. It also tracks their history.
