    Understood, and much appreciated. Yes, motor is fine. I guess the auger could have a problem ?

    Yeah, could be gears or however it's driven that's locked up.

    Could be bad bearings as well.

    The motor MAY have a shaft seal that is leaking which might be causing a short, which causes it to trip. Happened to me on a different ice dispenser where it would trip the GFCI breaker, wasn't due to an overload or overamp, just water getting into the motor and tripping it.

    It's not THAT complicated but it does take some basic knowledge, tools and skills or you can destroy that motor very fast.

    Trust me, I had to learn too.

    And I thought it was as simple as the capacitor. Now on to fixing some AC's. The coils are freezing up on me. If I need refrigerant, that's another call.

    I just worked on a dispenser with the capacitor hanging off the motor.... Hummmmmm
